Whether it’s a job loss, a heart ache over a “the one” or a serious health diagnosis. It’s all relative, and it usually takes time to see the good that’s come from dark days and sleepless nights. I remember a break-up from years ago—two days before Valentine’s. That week, I went to church for a social pick-me-up. I “randomly” chose from a basket of affirmations and thoughts passed around a circle. Around the time of my bi-lateral mastectomy, I came across the proverb again. Here it is for you, just incase you’re the one needing to “randomly” receive it:
When the heart weeps for what it has lost, the spirit laughs for what it has found.
