It’s Labor Day. Your job is to do your best—whatever that may look like. Sometimes that means resting. Forget the “to do” list. Others will figure out what’s for dinner when they realize you’re not making it tonight. Maybe today’s work is walking a quarter way around the block. Or, if you’re a friend of someone who has cancer, maybe today’s labor of love is dropping by for either the person with cancer, or someone else needing a “high-five.”
If you aren’t working today, find a way to express your gratitude for those who are, and for those who made this day what it is. Are you driving to the beach? Who made your car? The road? Who tended the food you’ll eat? It can become a game to see how long the list grows.
